THE ROLE

The Data Specialist works across our data team, and is a highly-organised strategic thinker that is able to develop and implement data solutions independently, while leading a team of two data scientists.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage data projects, working with various internal and external stakeholders to implement data led solutions for their clients.
  • Work hands-on when required with BigQuery, SQL and APIs.
  • Work with internal teams to increase their data knowledge.
  • Work with the business Partners to grow the business, positioning Sparro as Australia’s leading digital marketing agency.
  • Train and develop skills of junior team members, supported by the Data & Strategy Lead

  • Build a best-in-class data & marketing offering for our team.
  • Build processes, structure and scale into our products and tools.
  • Promote the Sparro values and culture.

  • High-level skills in data analysis and manipulation
  • Hands-on skills in BigQuery (or other cloud based system) & SQL
  • Strong excel knowledge
  • API experience beneficial
  • Effective client, stakeholder and staff management.
  • An advanced ability to independently plan, strategise, and mobilise to achieve a project.
  • A confident and considered approach to problem solving and project management.

 

 

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT

The performance of the Data Specialist will be determined based on their ability to:

 

  • Successfully build and implement a strong data offering and positioning for Sparro
  • Working closely and training up direct reports across hands-on skills across BQ and SQL

 

  • Implementing a data led strategy
  • Contribute to the values and culture of Sparro.
