The development of GPT-3 has been a game-changer in the world of digital marketing. Its advanced language processing abilities means that it can generate high-quality SEO-optimised content in seconds. Allowing us to build huge depths of content and target bulk longtail keywords, it’s removing one of the biggest roadblocks for digital marketers: the time-consuming, manual labour involved in long-form content production.
For Little Birdie, this was exactly the hurdle we had in front of us. Little Birdie is a retail discovery platform that compares deals on over 70 million products. Content is a significant part of their digital strategy. The objective was to produce a large volume of SEO-optimised content that would get their pages ranking.
This simply wasn’t going to be possible manually. We turned to GPT-3 and multiple language processor add-ons to create seamless automation.
We leaned into GPT-3’s ability to add unique identifiers to specific keywords and convert plain text to HTML based on fairly broad inputs. We combined these capabilities with our data team’s expertise, a pre-built database, and Google Sheets script to automatically add internal links to copy at scale. On top of this, we trained GPT-3 to learn Little Birdie’s branding to ensure the output aligned with it. The results speak for themselves.
We created 486 pieces of content using a programmatic run-through in about 200 hours, saving ourselves over 500 hours of work and our client $28,000. An increase of 72% efficiency! Little Birdie saw a 10% increase in impressions and a 4% increase in keywords ranking.
