The Data Analyst will work within the data team at Sparro to implement internal reporting solutions for our teams. 


  • Drive client and business success through insightful dashboarding and maintenance of data hygiene.
  • Create best-in-class database and dashboarding solutions.
  • Champion the standardisation and build out of advanced reporting processes across the Sparro business
  • Perform maintenance of existing databases and reports. 
  • Troubleshoot data collection and tracking issues and discrepancies across platforms.
  • Supporting the education of industry development on available reporting and analytics APIs internally and for clients.
  • Opportunity to lead, develop and productise new projects and offerings.


  • Build and create live advanced marketing channel dashboards for agency-wide adoption
  • Be involved in the build out of Sparro’s first data warehouse
  • Extract data using SQL from relational data-warehouses, running queries to create tables ready for analysis and dashboarding
  • Extract insights on performance variances using data
  • Continually integrate skills, experience and working practices to improve problem solving, organisation and strategic thinking
  • Supporting the data team, and client leads on daily ad-hoc tasks
  • Promoting the Sparro values and culture

Your skills

  •  at least 1 to 2 years of experience as an Analyst or in a similar role
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategy and concepts
  • Proven experience in data warehouse management and dashboard design
  •  Experience with Excel/Sheets & SQL Knowledge (BigQuery, SSMS, Azure, Amazon S3), Python/R is a plus
  • Experience with Looker Studio (or alternatively Tableau and/or Power BI)
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 and/or Google Tag Manager a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

The performance of the DataAnalyst will be determined based on their ability to:

  • Create advanced dashboards for Sparro and their clients.
  • Identify opportunities by extraction of insightful data to aid in strategic client development
  • Standardise and grow the adoption rate of new reporting processes. 
  • Improve efficiency of internal reporting tasks.
  • Achieve fast market-readiness while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Align projects with the overall Sparro strategy and market requirements.
  • Contribute to the values and culture of Sparro.
  • Highly commended, but not essential, self-start a project.

We also provide a 20-week leadership training course with our founder and general manager. Through this training, we explore the vision of Sparro and Jack Nimble, how to manage expectations, elevating conversation and much more.

Mentoring + Support /02

The DataAnalyst will work in a cluster, with regular mentoring sessions from their Team Lead and other senior leaders. These sessions will provide support for the ongoing development of the employee to ensure their fulfilment and success within the company.

Through our in-house training and support, we also look beyond our company to aid our staff’s professional development, with access and encouragement to attend industry events, workshops and paid external courses.
