Key Responsibilities

The Data & Analytics Lead is a senior leader in the business, working with multiple teams of ambitious, young digital marketers to develop and champion key client strategies, direction and tech maturity.

The client list includes some of Australia’s leading retailers and corporates; many with 5+ years of agency tenure.

The Lead is an innovator, always seeking to outperform the market and develop automation, ideas and strategies that can be propagated across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with key clients on a day to day basis at a senior level, developing strong professional relationships. and develop client projects in line with business and channel objectives.
  • Engage and empower cluster leaders to develop and implement channel and technology solutions.
  • Advise the business on high-level strategic direction, and channel and technology opportunities.
  • Build a foundation and framework for success through and after 3rd party cookie deprecation.
  • Plan for, develop and execute strategies and solutions in line with constant changes in the industry with respect to privacy and data storage/usage.
  • Be the lead on tech integrations that clients want and require, for example, not limited to, warehousing, CRMs, CDPs and DMPs.
  • Actively pursue data-led opportunities with clients and position Sparro as their ideal partner.
  • Engage in meaningful conversations and develop strong relationships with relevant c-level stakeholders, e.g. CIOs, CTOs, CCOs, CMOs.
  • Be a vital member of the team designed to create Sparro’s own data enrichment capabilities.

Your experience

You move fast, but also and engage and empower the team around you to get stuff done. You’re also not afraid to dive right in and solve challenges by rolling up your sleeves.

You’ve worked at all levels of the funnel, on a wide variety of clients, and held successful senior stakeholder relationships.

Your contribution to the agency’s offering, direction, culture and knowledge will be invaluable, as will the solutions you produce and lead for our clients.

This role is newly created, so the scope is endless! You have a real opportunity to define Australia’s largest independent digital agency’s data direction.

Your experience

  • Around 4-5 years’ experience in data and analytics
  • Highly-effective and confident client, stakeholder and staff management skills; including the ability to plan and host client and staff workshops, training sessions, pitches and meetings 
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and multi-level leadership skills
  • An advanced ability to independently plan, strategise, and mobilise to successfully achieve multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Advanced understanding of the tech and data landscape as it pertains to marketing, privacy and business medium-to-enterprise needs
  • Proactive approach to solving potential bottlenecks, roadblocks and industry challenges
  • A confident and considered approach to problem solving and project management
  • Full awareness of digital channels and tactics with hands-on skills in data
