Work with a business that invests in its people.

We’re a digital marketing agency with an award-winning culture and a growing team of 75.

We’ve built our team and programs on the core principle of ‘engage and empower’ – listening to and enabling our team to determine vision, direction and structure; and then giving them the tools, confidence and autonomy to affect change.

Coupling that with an unending investment in learning and development is the reason we’ve seen so much success and:

We’ve got the momentum, investment and drive – now we need you.

We do what it takes to see success in our people and business. So far that’s meant an internal leadership training program, permanent leadership & development coach, sparro retreats, HBDi and strengths profiling, Google’s ‘Search Inside Yourself’ program, and more.

The Employee Experience Specialist will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team as a trusted partner and people leader. Sparro is a fast-paced environment that loves to test and evolve, and take risks.

We value the do as much as we do strategic thought, and we’re looking for someone that wants to get their hands dirty as much as they influence and collaborate with others.

You will be

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the General Manager and Partners, and the broader team to identify and resolve resourcing needs (both recruitment and staff capability building)
  • Accurately keeping records; reporting, maintaining and optimising our use of systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement/enhancement
  • Providing research, advice and implementation of HR systems and processes such as induction, orientation and probation arrangements
  • Building, managing, and improving employee onboarding functions and documentation
  • Championing the employee experience, including employee recognition and feedback initiatives
  • Assisting with workplace grievances and investigations as required, providing support and advice to leaders and staff in line with legislation and policy
  • Communicating effectively, both written and verbally, displaying sensitivity and understanding, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with sensitive matters
  • Promoting the Sparro values and culture in all that you do
  • Building a People & Development team as the business continues to scale

You are a people & culture leader with the ambition to innovate and scale.

  • Growth mindset to continuously enhance and develop your skills to bring innovative approaches the Sparro experience
  • Proactive can-do attitude and approach to your work
  • Highly organised, with an ability to use initiative and prioritise in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial workplace
  • Excellent people skills to work collaboratively with a diverse and inclusive team

  • Comfortable at handling conflict and dealing with sensitive matters confidently and respectfully
  • Ability to apply technical expertise to perform the role at a high level of accomplishment
  • 3+ years experience working in a HR or people role
Training + Education /01

We’re always learning, sharing and growing together.

There is opportunity for external education and training; we’ll support anything that adds value to the team and individual.

The Employee Experience Specialist will work closely with the General Manager, Coach and Business Partners, with regular mentoring sessions and exposure to decision-making processes. There is added support from our senior external HR consultant.

Career Pathways /03

We’re looking to develop our staff to be the next leaders in our industry, and in our business.

We have a transparent direction for our business and clear pathways for all staff; supported by regular reviews and personal development.

Growth for this role includes affecting a larger business and building a people team.

Sparro Culture /04

We host regular social and sporting events, lunches and drinks. We love getting everyone together to celebrate our successes, each other and the industry.

Day to day, we work hard and smart, but there’s no overtime, ever. We offer Summer Fridays, a plant-filled office with casual working areas, and an office puppy – Ted Danson.
