The Finance Manager will work closely with the Financial Controller on all things Finance, ensuring financial excellence across the organisation.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting:

  • Coordinate and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Present financial results to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Preparation of month balance sheet reconciliations and analysis, including media spend reconciliation

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and track expenses against budgeted targets.
  • Maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses to optimise financial performance

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs.
  • Monitor receivables, and payables to optimise cash flow efficiency.

Invoicing and Accounts Receivable:

  • Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely billing of clients.
  • Monitor accounts receivable ageing and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Collaborate with sales and client services teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address client inquiries.

Payroll Administration:

  • Manage payroll processing, including calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Coordinate with HR to onboard new employees and update payroll records as needed.

Financial Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Coordinate the preparation of IAS, BAS & FBT returns and submissions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and adherence to internal controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for audits and tax compliance.
SKILLS
  •  3+ years of experience in a similar finance focused role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
  • CPA or CA Certification
  •  Effective project management, high attention to detail and an independent, ambitious approach to tasks.
  • An exceptional grasp on strategic thinking, problem solving and process.
  •  Strong platform skills in Xero and Excel/Google Sheets, or similar.
  •  Confidence in data analysis and forecasting. 
  • Ability to conceptualise and manage new processes, gaining stakeholder support and adoption.
