We’re an 8 year old business seeing significant growth, with a well-established reputation in the industry, and plenty of momentum.

We’re now seeking a Marketing Executive to lead the planning and implementation of our internal marketing strategy to create even more consistency, depth and reach.

As our first internal marketing hire, there’s huge scope to tailor the role and the output.

We’re interested in hearing from content writers and multi-skilled marketers that are looking to take on broad responsibilities across a brand. Digital skills are helpful, but not required, as the role would be well-supported by the Content Lead and other Senior team members.

Successful applicants will also complete the Sparro Leadership Training – advanced, hands-on training and workshops conducted by the Sparro leadership team that aim to skill our team with strategic and client leadership skills.

Responsibilities

This is a hands-on, semi-autonomous role planning and implementing marketing tactics against the Sparro strategy.

It’s an exciting opportunity for someone to build their own role and success, with the core responsibilities including:

  • Research the market landscape and current results to devise new marketing and content opportunities
  • Write short and long form content for social media and the website
  • Maintain a marketing events calendar, including writing and arranging award submissions
  • Regularly updating the Sparro website with relevant data, case studies, blog posts, and company initiatives
  • Host internal and external events that support Sparro’s marketing strategy and direction
  • Create email marketing automation campaigns, including creating email templates and list segmentation
  • Reporting on initiatives and results, looking for opportunities to benchmark and improve
  • Supporting content leads on daily ad-hoc tasks
  • Promoting the Sparro values and culture
YOU

You will be a confident, emerging marketer that wants to test and learn across all channels.

We’re looking for a self-starter with energy, ideas and an innovative approach.

  • 2-3 years experience in a marketing or content role, in-house or agency
  • Proactive approach towards communicating the Sparro brand to external media, clients, talent, and the industry
  • Advanced writing skills, task organisation, and creative thinking
  • Problem-led with a high attention to detail
  • Experience creating imagery and copy across social media content on LinkedIn and Instagram
WHAT TO EXPECT
Digital Training /01

Senior leaders and business partners will run weekly workshops and formal training sessions across a range of hard and soft skills – social media, public relations, award submissions and SEO.

Mentoring + Support /02

Our Marketing Executive will be mentored by the Content & Brand Lead and have ongoing interactions with other senior leaders.

We’re the first agency in Australia to have a internal developmental coach and an educator.  We also have informal coaching pairs and a buddy system.
