The Paid Social  Lead is responsible for driving excellence and best practice for paid social platforms across the agency. This includes trailing betas, leading experiments and building reporting structures to help identify efficiencies and areas for troubleshooting. The Paid Social Lead will also be responsible for paid social training across the whole agency through brain articles, product updates and best practice guides.


  • To increase the standard of our paid social accounts across the agency by eliminating issues and spend wastage via training, upskilling, auditing and best practice reporting. 
  • Achieving consistent revenue growth in paid social spend across new and existing clients. 


  • Work with the data team to build best practice and efficiency reporting, including spend wastage on underperforming placements, audiences, devices and geos..
  • Achieve paid social revenue and growth targets set by Sparro SLT.
  • Create benchmarks for paid social accounts; including at funnel level, audience, and placements.
  • Champion the creation and adoption of dynamic, data-driven paid social strategies and projects.
  • Liaise with key clients and internal stakeholders at a senior level, developing strong professional relationships.
  •  Champion Sparro as a leader in the industry through industry networking and thought leadership.
  • Participate in paid social strategy and services pitches for existing and new clients. 
  • Develop agency skills, culture and confidence within this channel offering in line with business direction, supporting teams implement experiments and betas, reporting back to the business on their effectiveness.
  • Constantly seek efficiencies and improvements, championing the adoption of best in market channel practices for clients across teams, including new ad placements across Meta & TikTok.
  • Explore and assist other platform leads on Sparro’s social approach
  • Support the team on creating stronger reporting metrics aligned to business goals
  • Be an ambassador for the Sparro values and culture.

Your skills

  • An advanced ability to independently plan, strategise, and mobilise to achieve a project.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to get buy-in from teams to deliver a positive impact on Sparro paid social accounts
  • Ability to work with the data team to build Sparro wide reporting on anomalies and account efficiencies.
  • Highly advanced Meta & TikTok skills to build training and frameworks to upskill teams.
  • Strong data analysis skills to track agency wide Meta & TikTok performance.
  • Hands-on Meta & TikTok skills to audit individual accounts to achieve efficiencies and best practice.
  • Highly-effective and confident internal and external stakeholder management skills; including the ability to plan and host client and staff workshops, training sessions, pitches and meetings. 
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distil complex information into simple deliverables.
  • A confident and considered approach to problem solving and project management.
  • Full awareness of digital channels and tactics, with expertise in paid social channels.
  • An ability to explore and workshop business objectives, using data and digital skills to develop project plans.
  • Proactively identify areas of weakness and growth opportunities  in our paid social offering and flag these as requiring improvement – and then create a plan to remedy.

The performance of the Paid Social Lead will be determined based on their ability to:

  • Grow paid social spend across agency, achieve Quarterly KPI’s set by SLT,
  • Reduce overspends and wastage on Meta & TikTok accounts,
  • Improve agency wide account performance against paid social scoring system,
  • Standardise reporting and insights for paid social spenders
  • Manage and support team members’ skills, experience and confidence on paid social
  • Work with other platform leads to deliver a holistic Sparro social vision, and;
  • Contribute to the values and culture of Sparro.

We also provide a 20-week leadership training course with our founder and general manager. Through this training, we explore the vision of Sparro and Jack Nimble, how to manage expectations, elevating conversation and much more.

Mentoring + Support /02

The Paid Social Lead will work in a cluster, with regular mentoring sessions from their Team Lead and other senior leaders. These sessions will provide support for the ongoing development of the employee to ensure their fulfilment and success within the company.

Through our in-house training and support, we also look beyond our company to aid our staff’s professional development, with access and encouragement to attend industry events, workshops and paid external courses.
