Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Manager,  the People and Culture Specialist  will work closely with leaders across the business to ensure HR excellence. This role will play a role in every aspect of the employee lifecycle, as well as  assist in developing and implementing strategies to enable effective people and team management,  while ensuring compliance with HR processes and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive people initiatives with strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills and offer thought leadership regarding organisational/people-related strategy and execution.
  • Lead the talent acquisition lifecycle end to end.
  • Identify and address resourcing requirements.
  • Conduct talent assessments to identify high potentials and development opportunities for career growth. 
  • Implement the performance management framework and partner with line managers to manage incidents of disciplinary performance management. 
  • Assist in the bi-annual performance review process, including communications, documentation, feedback collation, benchmarking, and recommendations through the remuneration review process.
  • Champion the employee experience, focusing on employee recognition and feedback initiatives.
  • Take the lead in implementing regular staff and leadership surveys. 
  •  Provide support to the Senior People and Culture Manager,  General Manager and Business Partners on various HR matters as required.
  • Assist in handling workplace grievances and investigations as needed, offering support and guidance to leaders and staff in alignment with legislation and policy.
  • Ensure Health & Safety Compliance and lead H&S policies and procedures. 
  • Communicate effectively, both in written and verbal forms, demonstrating sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion in managing sensitive matters.
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders from the global Brainlab’s team on a variety of People and Culture related matters
  • Be an ambassador for the Sparro and Jack Nimble values and culture.
SKILLS
  • Proven 3+ years experience in a generalist Humans Sources role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge and experience of operational Human Resources principles and practices, including basic knowledge of awards, agreements and industrial legislation and health and safety/workers compensation principles. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset with a commitment to continuously enhance and develop skills, bringing innovative approaches to HR solutions.
  •  Highly organised with the ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable handling conflict and dealing with sensitive matters in a confident and respectful manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
