THE ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing  team within the digital marketing industry.

The SEO Director is a senior leader in the business, working to develop and champion advanced strategic SEO projects and channels, and pursue their implementation with a set of key clients.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop new and existing client pitches, strategies, and documentation.
  • Liaise with key clients at a senior level on a day to day basis.
  • Develop the SEO product directly and indirectly through teams, creating the agency standard for SEO work.
  • Manage internal processes, staff time management and implementation of staff strategies.
  • Develop the internal team through one on one and group mentoring, training sessions and client brainstorms.
  • Identify and support the growth of new leaders and team members
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improvement across all work processes, in particular SEO related processes. 
  • End to end staff management include but not limited to, recruitment, reviews, performance management
  • Prepare and present client reporting with a focus on SEO; identifying and communicating new opportunities, value delivered, and strategic direction.

  •  Highly-effective client/stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to quickly uncover and understand a client or market problem and develop an approach.
  •  Exceptional communication, interpersonal and multi-level leadership skills, with the ability to affect change across both individuals and organisations, as a whole.
  • An advanced ability to independently plan, strategise, and mobilise to achieve a project.
  • A confident and considered approach to problem solving and project management. A natural talent for exploring and workshopping business SEO objectives, using data and digital skills to develop project plans.
  •  Hands-on skills in SEO channels, with a high level of working knowledge in other digital channels.
  • Advanced commercial and business acumen. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to create accountability and clarity to reports.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT

The performance of the SEO Director will be determined based on their ability to:

  • Engage clients in Sparro’s digital marketing offering, value and strategies. 
  • Develop client relationships, positioning Sparro as a key business partner. 
  • Develop and support team members’ skills, experience and confidence.
  • Develop and progress the wider professional offering of Sparro – conceptually and through technology.
