Our team comes from a wide range of backgrounds, with many new graduates and career changers. We’re always looking to develop our digital marketers to be leaders in the industry and our business and to nurture the next generation of talent. That’s why we’re now offering the Sparro Student Grant. 

The objective of the grant is to encourage marketing and data-focused students to explore digital marketing. 


This grant is offered to one person. Applications for the 2021 grant close on 31 December 2021 at 11:59PM.

The Award

The value of this grant is AUD $2,500 (total amount) and is paid as a one-time payment to the winner.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. To be eligible, you must be enrolled full-time in an accredited Australian Tertiary Education Institution, be entering your final year of study and be studying for an undergraduate certificate, diploma or degree in any of the following areas:
    • Business, Marketing, Commerce – including any business related courses from any Australian institution
    • IT – including any IT related courses such as Design & Animation, Computing Science and Games Development
  2. Only citizens or permanent residents of Australia can apply.
  3. You must have reached 18 years of age to enter.

Entry Task

In order to apply for the Sparro Student Grant, write an essay (max 5000 characters) answering the following question:

What impact would you like to have on the future of digital marketing?

How to apply

Please submit your information in the form below, including your essay answer.

Should you be shortlisted, the following information will be requested over email:

  • Proof of Identification;
  • Proof of Citizenship or Permanent Residency (if applicable) 
  • Proof of enrolment, including course name, tertiary institution name and enrolment status;
  • Contact details (including residential address, email and phone number).

Selection process

The winner will be decided by a panel of judges from Sparro, on the basis of the entry which best encompasses the task presented. The judgement will take place within 6 weeks from the date that applications close. 

Unfortunately, no communication can take place between Sparro and applicants, and it is requested that applicants do not contact Sparro staff to receive feedback or updates, or provide additional information.

  • Passion for digital marketing
  • Application of personal ideas, experience and education to your response
  • For non-marketing students, how you envisage applying your skills and experience to digital marketing.
